This technical CPD examines the unique design and compliance barriers to adopting solar PV in apartment buildings.

Attendees will gain a critical understanding of how SAP 10.2 mandate direct PV connection to individual flats to increase energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions, as energy generated on-site is credited directly to the flat's consumption, not the landlord's meter.

The session contrasts the complexities of traditional, space-intensive PV systems for flats with shared solar solutions.

It focuses on how a solar PV sharing device can:

  • Simplify M&E design and installation.
  • Enable tailorable kWp allocation to resolve specific flat-level EPC discrepancies.
  • Boost SAP & EPC performance.

Real-world applications are reviewed, demonstrating how shared solar integration supports clients with their low-carbon and net-zero goals.

Approved by CIBSE. A CPD certificate will be issued and CPD points can be claimed.
