Design of LEV for Metalworking Fluid (MWF)

About

Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) should be fitted on CNC machines to carry away harmful metalworking fluid (MWF) mist.

During HSE’s recent inspection of manufacturing businesses, one of the common failings found was not having LEV in place. What should these LEV systems look like? What are the design considerations? How do we use, maintain and test these systems correctly?

This free webinar, kindly hosted by BESA, will be presented by Mary Cameron (Occupational Hygienist at Hygiene Partners and BOHS Board member) and Adrian Sims (MD and LEV specialist at Vent-Tech Ltd). It is designed to provide attendees with information on the hazards of MWF, how to assess and control this risk, and how specifically to design and test LEV systems for CNC machines.
