Kathryn majors in Biochemistry and received a PERFECT 36 on the ACT, as well as a near-perfect 1570 on the SAT. She took 16 AP Courses while in high school; she was also a National Merit Scholar and won 1st Place at the US Individual National Academic Decathlon Championship (USADIC)! At Rice, sheâs conducting research studying the carbon degradation trajectory of compost using solid-state 13C-NMR spectroscopy, and she has won 1st Place in numerous health policy competitions, including the Houston Policy Challenge and Baker Institute Student Forum Policy Competition. Her tutoring and college counseling approaches focus on hands-on practice and interactive problem-solving since lectures can only do so much! Sheâs excited to help guide students through various problem-solving approaches to identify techniques that work best for them and achieve every goal!
