During the webinar we’ll summarise 2023, a year in which interest rates have risen sharply in order to stamp out inflation. However, the global economy has displayed remarkable resilience in spite of headwinds ranging from a US regional banking crisis, to renewed conflict in the Middle East and concerns over oil supply. Next year promises to be a year of political upheaval with elections in the US, India, Taiwan, Russia, South Africa…and possibly the UK. We’ll discuss the potential impact of these, together with the outlook for inflation, interest rates, and financial markets in general.
