Women in Work 

In this episode of **Mind the Gap,** we meet one of the leading business figures in the UK, with a track record of innovating across industries, and boosting the profile of women in work.

Liv Garfield CBE is a former UK Government international business ambassador and the youngest-ever female FTSE-100 CEO.    

After studying at Cambridge, and a stint at the British Consulate in Brussels, Liv began her career in strategic consulting for the technology sector. She has been a CEO since 2011 with Openreach, becoming a FTSE-100 CEO in 2014 when she was named the new chief executive of Severn Trent.

Liv has also held several board positions with both UK and US-based international businesses, including Tesco and Brookfield Asset Management, and is Chair of the UK Government’s Council for Sustainable Business. She is also a member of The 30% Club, which aims to achieve a minimum of 30% female representation on the boards of FTSE 100 companies.
