Meet Italo Leiva – the entrepreneur who's been all over the map, from patenting color-coded guitar strings 🎸 to revolutionizing healthcare practices 🏥 and now building revenue engines with HubSpot at his company, Peddle. Jack of all trades, master of one - REVENUE. It all started in college when Italo invented a product that combined his love for music and science: color-coded guitar strings, inspired by synesthesia and how colors can help you learn faster. He won NC State's "eGames" entrepreneurship competition, snagging over $50k to launch his first startup.

But Italo’s story doesn’t end there. After winning eGames, he made his way to MassChallenge, where he made it to the finals and got office space in Boston’s Seaport district. There, he learned how to code and build a tech startup from the likes of Jeff Taylor (Monster.com), Bill Warner (Avid Tech/Pro Tools), Steve Case (AOL), and his mentor Karl Buttner from 170Systems. The office was sponsored by HubSpot and this is where Italo would first encounter HubSpot and digital marketing services as a career option.

After Italo's first startup in Boston, he moved back home to North Carolina and got back into Healthcare working with a team he worked with throughout his high school and college career. Switching gears to healthcare, Italo became the first employee at a practice management firm, helping manage dozens of private practices across multiple states. He also helped grow and build A Plus Family Care, an OB Gyn and Pediatric practice providing affordable care for pregnant women and children on Medicaid, scaling it to three locations. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Italo and team built a dozen COVID testing sites across NC, GA, VA, MD, and DC to help the community. 💪

One interesting constant was in all of Italo's business endeavors, he deployed HubSpot at all of his business ventures. From management firm to COVID testing sites. While Italo’s heart has always been to help people in healthcare, his passion and favorite hobby have always been in leveraging technology for entrepreneurship. So, after the pandemic, he returned to his first love—consulting for tech startups. A way to merge his hobby of technology, his favorite pastime of entrepreneurship, and passion for helping others into a full-time career. That’s when he founded Peddle, a HubSpot and revenue operations agency helping companies build revenue engines that have the potential to create financial freedom. Italo uses his years of entrepreneurial experience to help businesses scale with HubSpot, turning it into a powerhouse for predictable, recurring revenue. 🚀💰
