Karen Dubinsky

Karen Dubinsky

Chief Engagement Officer at LaGuardia Community College

Karen Dubinsky is the Chief Engagement Officer at LaGuardia Community College. She created the Presidentā€™s Society in 2013 and still manages it today. This leadership program helps students gain the professional skills theyā€™ll need to succeed in todayā€™s world, and it has become a major fund-raising tool for the college.

Prior to her work at LaGuardia Karen ran a marketing consulting firm, Marketing Insights, that had ongoing relationships with Chase, MasterCard, Sony and other Fortune 500 companies. She has an MBA and an MA in Medieval Studies from Columbia University and a BA from Wellesley College. She studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse and was on the Board of Theatre for a New Audience and Atlantic Theater Company.

Stefania  Dinu

Stefania Dinu

Foundation Engagement Specialist at LaGuardia Community College

Stefania Dinu is the Foundation Engagement Specialist, working as part of the Development team at LaGuardia Community College. In this role, Stefania co-leads Foundation-funded student programs, including the Presidentā€™s Society, a leadership program of which Stefania is an alum. She also facilitates donor engagement programs with students.

Stefania has worked in various roles at LaGuardia since 2013, starting in her school years. Previously, she was an Academic Advisor for the Accelerated Studies in Associate Programs (ASAP) at LaGuardia. Before that, Stefania worked in development as the Honors Internship Program Coordinator. Stefania received a Masterā€™s degree from The New School for Social Research (magna cum laude), a Bachelorā€™s degree from The New School's Eugene Lang College (magna cum laude), and an Associateā€™s degree (honors) from LaGuardia Community College.
