Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2024 - Creating a Neuroinclusive Workplace

About

Creating a neuroinclusive workplace involves adopting practices that recognise and accommodate the diverse needs of neurodivergent individuals, such as those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological conditions.

44% of organisations now have neuroinclusive strategies in place, compared to 34% in 2023. Saying this 1 in 3 workplaces surveyed still lack a central commitment and there is a lot of work still to be done (The 2024 Neurodiversity Index).

This is an area we are huge advocates of. We are really excited to be joined by Julie Hedge, Legal PA at global law firm Shoosmiths for a “HumanOS Heroes” special discussing how organisations can create a more neuroinclusive workplace and support neurodiverse individuals within their organisation.

Julie is passionate about raising awareness about mental health. She is a mental health champion at Shoosmiths and has recently just been appointed as a Champion for LawCare. Julie was awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” at the West Midlands PA Forum in 2021 and is a finalist at this year’s awards for PA of the Year and Project Champion of the Year for all the work she has done in terms of social mobility and collaborating with the Birmingham’s Youth City Board and West Midlands Police regarding VAWG – Violence against Women and Girls.

For leadership/management teams or anyone interested in learning more about what companies can do in this area, this is one for you.
