Dr Alison Macbeth is a GP with a special interest in Women’s Health and Genito-Urinary medicine, as well as a Breast Speciality Doctor in an NHS Breast Unit in Glasgow. Alison now spend the majority of her time specialising in Breast, Menopause and Women’s Health. She has an Advanced Menopause Certificate in Menopause Care from the BMS and is an Accredited BMS Specialist. Alison was inspired to start a menopause clinic within her NHS breast unit after seeing patients who were cancer free but suffering with the menopausal side effects of treatment. She believes all women, including those treated for breast cancer, deserve access to high quality, evidence-based menopause care and treatment and that every woman should be empowered to seek help and support, including those who may previously have been told they could never have HRT.
