Body Dysmorphic Disorder: How to support your teen

Let's All Talk Mental Health
01:01:59
We are joined by Dr Amita Jassi to talk about teen Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), and understanding some of the issues with changing body shapes and external pressures that might be influencing our teenagers in a different and harmful direction.
Discover how to recognise the signs of BDD in your teen, including obsession with appearance and comparison to others, and explore its impact on mental health and self-esteem. Dr Jassi will offer some essential guidance for parents and family members, with considerations for neurodiverse teens and the potential effects on siblings.
