Let's All Talk Mental Health

This session explores how trauma can shape a teenager’s emotions, behaviour and relationships, and how parents and carers can recognise when something deeper may be going on. We’ll look at what trauma means in the context of adolescence, including the impact of experiences like bullying, family conflict, or bereavement. The conversation will also cover how early childhood trauma can resurface in the teen years, what that might look like, when to seek help, and what kind of support is most effective. With practical advice on what helps, and what doesn't; this session aims to offer understanding and guidance for those supporting a teen affected by trauma.
