Katy Munro

Katy Munro

Dr

Dr Katy Munro was a GP partner for 25 years when she started having migraine attacks herself which sparked her interest in supporting migraine sufferers. Katy then started as a Headache Specialist GP at the National Migraine Centre, a charity which provides consultations to people with migraine on a voluntary donation basis.

Katy also founded and hosts the ‘Heads Up’ podcast which was a finalist in the Medical Journalists Awards for Podcast of the Year 2020. She is the author of “Managing Your Migraine”, a book commissioned by Penguin aimed at empowering people with migraine to better manage their condition. She’s also written peer reviewed articles for the Royal College of Nursing, and is a regular contributor for TV, Radio and news. And if that wasn’t enough, Katy is also a member of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH), sits on their council and co-organises their monthly educational webinars.

Kathryn Knight

Kathryn Knight

Host

Kathryn started her career as a news trainee on The Times newspaper before moving to the Express as a columnist and feature writer. Following a four-year stint as feature writer at The Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday she then went freelance, writing across national newspapers and magazines such as Red, The Radio Times and Saga. A longstanding interviewer and ghost writer of both celebrity and real-life case studies, her work covers everything from lifestyle trends to breaking news stories. Married with an eight-year-old daughter who came along when she was 41, she is definitely peri menopausal (although it’s also possibly she just has a very bad temper).
