Professor Lucy Betts will talk to us about how how young people experience bullying, cyberbullying, the distinction between bullying and banter, perception of the risk of cyberbullying and online harms, and the impact bullying has on well-being so that we are able to support our teens better.

Professor
Lucy is Professor of Social Developmental Psychology at Nottingham Trent University, UK and is the lead of the Bullying and Aggressive Behaviour Research Group . Her research focuses on the topics of bullying, cyberbullying, and harassment in public places. Underpinning her research is a desire to understand how young people experience cyberbullying, the distinction between bullying and banter, perceptions of the relative risk of cyberbullying and online harms, and the impact involvement in aggressive behaviour has on well-being. Lucy is also a member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance's advisory group.
