Understanding Autism: A Parent's Perspective

Let's All Talk Mental Health
01:12:55
How can parents support their neurodiverse teen’s emotional wellbeing and social development—especially when they seem academically capable but are anxious, avoidant, or struggle with connection? This session explores reflective parenting, how to recognise strengths beyond school achievement, and how to respond to patterns like avoidance or demand sensitivity with greater understanding. We’ll also look at the emotional toll on parents and what support looks like for the whole family.
